> SuperPipes are extreme.

Therefore it is quite fitting for the X-Games to have hosted an event attempting to create one at Mt. Snow, VT. Halfpipe riding is venturing to a new extreme with riders going bigger and getting more technical than ever (wet cat?). Although this was apparent at the 2000 X-Games many riders still got worked over by a bad batch of Superpipe.

> The Crew at Mt. Snow made a worthy attempt at creating one of the biggest halfpipes ever. The formula included 5 parts transition, 3 parts flatbottom, and 1 part of vert. Sadly, there was too little vertical in the mixing bowl and the batch came out a little underdone. Normally riders who would soar in this kind of environment ended up getting eaten by the superpipe. I am not sure whether or not the ESPN people had carnage and blood in mind for the spectators but they definitely got some.

> Are they making a stab at the Running Man idea or is it more like extreme Fight Club? Abe Teter was bloody and bruised. Keir Dillon was nearly KO after his Mctwist to flat pushing 20 ft limit. Ron Chiodi was nearly crippled by repeated hangups on those backside cripplers. They must have put magnets in the deck of the pipe and on the flat, oh wait, it was the extreme lack of vert. The spine can only take so much flatbottom you know.

> The Highlights were no alcohol, top of the line judging, a viewing format that was best suited for those watching the tube and boom camera's taking out riders left and right. Talk about extreme camera. The Rider's still somehow made it work out. For the women, Tara Dakides, Kim Stacey, Barret Christy, Stine Brun Kjeldaas and Amy Johnson. For the men, Todd Richards (wet cat) Ross Powers (also wet cat), Tommy Czesin, Keir Dillon, Leal Gregory and Danny Kass. Danny Kass? Wait a second how did he get in here. Dan-k-Ass was outrunning the extremely friendly XGames attendants with youthful frenzy and poaching the pipe all day long. The Revolution cannot be Televised.
