The Haakonsen Faktor
Cinemaseone-Veeco ProductionsI checked the mailbox on the way back from the skatepark. There was a package inside from Andy at Volcom which contained Dave Seoane's latest project, The Haakonsen Faktor. Once inside my apartment I slipped the tape into the VCR. The film, shot in 16mm contains not only Terje but also other members of the Burton crew including Michi Albin, Iker Fernandez, Bryan Iguchi, Craig Kelly and Shaun White. The film opens with Shaun White killing it in the halfpipe, and skating vert better than you probably ever will. It was good to see Craig Kelly back on tape, he is still ripping harder then ever.
Sometimes watching powder turns in snowboard videos can be boring, although whenever Terje slashes a wind drift or drops a big cliff it makes me want to grab my snowboard and book a plane ticket for Europe. The "Haakon Faktor" although light on the "New school" freestyle is a must see. This film doesn't contain one rail and will constantly remind you why you picked up a snowboard in the first place.
